Why do we love it, you ask?
A little chance encounter could be the one you’ve waited for…
Seen the movie, now drink the Pinot Gris. Haven’t seen the movie? Neither have we, but we have had plenty of this lip-smacking La La Land Pinot Gris and it is crisp and luscious and helps you party like all of Hollywood is watching.
Made with flair and generosity by Frank Newman and the cast in the sun-drenched Sunraysia, we recommend you gather your friends, and make every bottle an opening night celebration with this entertaining wine.
This wine is going to make these types of food delish…and vice versa!
The long version.
Impress your friends. Impress yourself.
Grape: Pinot Gris
Region: Murray Darling
Newman brought with him a wealth of winemaking experience, following roles as senior white, then red winemaker at Penfolds, where he worked alongside Max Schubert in the creation of Grange. Newman was also chief winemaker and production manager at Angoves for more than a decade.
100% Pinot Gris grapes from the Murray Darling region, cool fermented in 80% stainless steel and 20% old French oak barrels, with selected yeast to emphasise the rich fruit. There was a bit of lees stirring for texture, but very little intervention was necessary.
A pale straw appearance reveals aromas of fresh pear, summery tropical fruit and zesty citrus.
On the light and fresh palate you will discover crunchy nashi pear, ripe peach and hints of zingy, refreshing lemon & lime. Dry, textural and delicious!
