Thorn-Clarke is without doubt one of the most exciting Barossa brands to enter the market in recent times. The name Thorn-Clarke derives literally from the relationship between two long time Barossa families. Founders David and Cheryl Clarke (nee Thorn), work with their son and daughter, Sam and Nicole, in this family orientated business. Together, they have four family owned vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valley.
The Sandpiper range is named after the migratory bird which visits the Thorn-Clarke vineyards annually from the northern hemisphere. Seriously good value. Powerful acidity and delicious white stone fruit flavours steer this ship. There’s complexity and light nutty oak characters that provide balance and depth to this medium-bodied white wine. This dry, fruity peach and citrus delight is best enjoyed chilled.
